Is there a fee to join the waitlist, and how do I join?
There is no fee to join the Rainbow waitlist.
To join, you'll first need to create a My Family Lounge account (by Qikkids). Once your account is set up, simply complete a Booking Request for Rainbow. Using My Family Lounge allows you to easily update your details and preferred attendance days at any time if your family's needs change.
After submitting your Booking Request, you should receive a confirmation email. If you don't receive one, please contact us on (02) 9971 7100 or email admin@rainbowccc.com.au so we can confirm your application has been received.
If you'd like to visit the centre before joining the waitlist, you can arrange a tour by clicking the "Organise a Tour" button under the Enrolment tab on our website, or by calling us on (02) 9971 7100.
When can I visit the service?
You're welcome to visit Rainbow at any time. To arrange a tour, simply click the "Visit Us" button under the Enrolment tab on our website or call us on (02) 9971 7100.
We'll organise a tour at a time that best suits your family, giving you the opportunity to experience an active part of the Rainbow day, meet our educators, and explore our learning environments.
How early should I place my child on the waitlist?
It’s never too early to place your child on the waitlist. As a small service, places can fill quickly. Many families choose to add their child to our waitlist before they are even born!
Please remember to keep your details up to date as your child gets closer to three years of age, especially if your address, contact details, or required days change.
Are there minimum or set days required when enrolling at Rainbow?
We recommend a minimum of two days per week, as this provides children with regular attendance that supports strong relationships, a sense of belonging, and continuity in their learning experience. It also allows educators more time to connect with your child and family.
There are no fixed or set days required at Rainbow. Families are welcome to choose the days that best suit their needs, subject to availability.
If only some of your preferred days are available, we recommend securing those days and remaining on the waitlist for the others. This ensures you will be offered additional days as they become available.
Are there any other costs involved?
When enrolling at Rainbow CCC, a four-week Bond payment (reflective of your child’s enrolled attendance pattern) is required, along with a one-off administration fee of $150. This fee covers the Rainbow Enrolment Pack.
Is Rainbow approved for Child Care Subsidy (CCS) payments?
Yes, Rainbow is an approved service for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS). Your CCS will be applied to your fees once your Customer Reference Number (CRN) has been provided and your enrolment has been confirmed through Centrelink.
Can I claim ‘Start Strong’ funding through Rainbow?
Yes, Rainbow CCC is part of the Start Strong program offered by the Department of Education. For more information, please visit the Preschool Fee Relief Information for Families
How are fees and other payments made?
Rainbow provides the CRN holder with an emailed statement of fees one month in advance. Fees are required to be paid by the end of each month.
We offer two payment options: bank transfer using the account details provided on the statement, or card payment in the service via the centre EFTPOS machine.
